HS100 Firmware 1.1
I have 2 HS100 v4's that have been working solidly for a while on v1.0.3. According to my smart home these went unavailable over night and now no longer work, they are connected to my wifi but neither my smart home nor the ios kasa app will connect to them.
I tried setting them up again but the ios app only connects if I do a full factory reset, this then works only in the app until I turn the plug off or close the app then it won't connect again.
Can you confirm a firmware release was done? Where are the release notes for this? How do I downgrade to 1.0.3 and prevent auto updates in the future

I was just about to cut my losses and get a set of Energenie plugs to replace these bricks, please can you provide the instructions to downgrade the firmware and make them publicly available as there is a huge amount of people with similar problems (just look at the issues section of some of the projects that use these plugs on GitHub and the like). I'd like to think TP-Link was unaware of the amount of projects - homebrew or otherwise - built around these plugs rather than an act of malice. Just shows that when we buy a thing we dont actually own or have any control of it :(

I'd also appreciate the downgrade instructions please.
Thanks.

Good day,
Sorry for the delay.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience.
Please have a check of the message box and our senior engineers have already provided a temporary solution to help us downgrade the firmware for HS100/HS110 v4.
And please help us get the required MAC address about the plug.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Your understanding would be highly appreciated.
Wish you a good day.
Where do I get these downgrade instructions from?
My Kasa plugs are (were) an essential part of my Homebridge automation system.

@Brook Did the OP really accept this as a solution, or did you accept it for him? Many of us bought these devices BECAUSE they could be accessed locally. If you've fixed a security fix, you haven't fixed it in mine. So either you need to refund my purchases because they have a security flaw that you can't fix, or refund them because they'll become useless to me if you do. Or provide safe local 3rd party access if you're concerned (after selling these for years).

I would also like downgrading instructions. My home security setup not longer works since this update. Very disappointed.
