HS100 Firmware 1.1
I have 2 HS100 v4's that have been working solidly for a while on v1.0.3. According to my smart home these went unavailable over night and now no longer work, they are connected to my wifi but neither my smart home nor the ios kasa app will connect to them.
I tried setting them up again but the ios app only connects if I do a full factory reset, this then works only in the app until I turn the plug off or close the app then it won't connect again.
Can you confirm a firmware release was done? Where are the release notes for this? How do I downgrade to 1.0.3 and prevent auto updates in the future

@TP-Link I've sent you a message as suggested -Thanks!

Good thing this didn't affect me (eu) and I was able to block network access of the devices as well as delete the kasa app...
I hope tp-link will come to its senses and allow local access or as far as I'm concerned I will completely stop buying and recommending tp-link products.
Also I have to get this off my chest: Stopping long-running functionality remotely without any warning at all is just a bad-faith move and this was a huge loss of trust in your company for me.

What a joke of a resolution! I will never buy another TP-Link device again. TP-Link is losing customers in volume right now because their corporate office is so disconnected from the general public.

@TP-Link Annoyingly, it won't let me message you until I'm level 2, and TP-Link email support suggested I contact TP-Link UK, who know nothing about this! Hoping that posting a message gets me up a level

@TP-Link Thanks for keeping the option to download open.
However I feel the need to vent my frustration at moves like this. I bought a whole bunch of plugs from yourselves as they were the only ones I could easily communicate with.
Some people want nice and simple options which is fine but you can't achive much with them. The KASA plugs have zero Siri integration that I could find and after all these years waiting they still can't be added to Apple HomeKit??? Why remove features that make your plugs stand out. If you want to see how to do it then please have a look at the Shelly switches. They have many ways of integrating into automation through the cloud/http endpoints on the device etc. They are a pleasure to use.
Who knows when you will close your cloud access. Precious few companies keep them going long term and this is despite their insistence they will never close. Plans change. You now have Tapo pugs that I need to download yet another app for. Why? I still can't integrate them into one location.
I see offline access as a critical requirement for any plugs or other hardware that I purchase and I imagine more and more people will see that need as they see their expensive purchases turn in to bricks.
Please have a strong think about the direction you are moving in!!

@TP-Link I don't want to dig through all my devices for mac address. Can we enable some form of endpoint from within the app? You have created a load of work for me that I really don't have to have to do.
