Can TP-LINK RE220 AC750 be set as a repeater

Checking is setting TP-LINK RE220 AC750 to use same SSIDs as router will mean it acts as a repeater

Hi,
Once RE220 has been set up as range extender, it would be used as a repeater to extender the home router’s Wi-Fi range.
As for the SSID, it would be both the same or different.

@Villa365 In addition to my first question I now find that the Pixel 2 phone will connect to the SSID_EXT but our ipads & iphones will not. Any suggestions as to what I should do? The same passwords are entered on the Router & all phones/ipads.

Hi, would there be any error message on the IPhone or iPad?
And what are the hardware and firmware version of the RE220?
