Implemented Tapo C310 video watermark
Since one of the latest update the video from the C310 contains a TAPO watermark in left bottom of the video.
How can i remove this!
On earlier firmware this watermark was not visible, it is since 1.0.11/1.0.12 and i don' like it.
The C100 & C200 doesn't have this UGLY watermark.

that's exactly what i mean.
i placed the camera on a spot where the focus was too much on a part of the wall.
the camera was not detection motion at all.
I replaced the camera, the problem was gone.
Then the watermark came, and the problem was particinally back.

Pretty good cameras, but I've stopped recommending them since the watermark appeared. I'm also not buying more for my network.

I've left a review on Amazon warning potential new customers, unfortunatly is not easy to find amongst the other reviews. Perhaps if others did the same it may help.
It's such a shame as I'm very impressed with the camera (c200) and would have highly recommended it.

for the C200 it looks fixed.
with the last firmware and alst version of the APP (v2.3.33)
there you can toggle the logo.
for the C310 there comes hopefully a fix soon!

Thanks!
I've just looked and the option is there and I've removed the logo. They could have mentioned it on the release notes!
Hopefully they will leave the logo off as a default so as not ti upset new users, I really can't see any use for it.
Hope it solves your detection zone problems too.

I don't see why not, they seem to have acknowledged the logo is not what people want.
A few points I've noticed to help otheres.
- I'd left my other camera on the older (non logo pre 1.1.7) firmware, and noticed I couldn't get into the display settings with the lastest version of the app.
- After updating this camera to firmware 1.1.8, I could get to the display settings but the new "display logo" option was not there. Restarting the app and trying again showed the option.
I really hope this is the end of the logo, and we don't get the logo forced on us again. I'm going to wait a while before purchasing more cameras. I'll also be holding back on firmware updates in case the logo is reintroduced - not good when some of the updates could be for security vunerabilities.
Theres a good lesson here for TP link around loosing customers trust, this mistake can only have cost them customers.

Just to bump this thread - any news about the FW release for C310?

@timelapser return the product to the shop and ask them to waste time to put it to work as the box describes (no logo). take your money in return. ask the shop for another cam (with no logo). wait until they waste more time checking and booting the new cam. take it and pay. say good bye and hope to not to come back again because the cam suddenly updated, and there is no way to set off the logo display, and needs again be checked at the shop, a refund, a test for a new one again... and an infinite loop thanks to this way to proceed.
