I have tried to set up and use a second mobile phone. The setup does not allow me to use the same email address. A different email address wants me to reconnect the wifi devices which seems odd.

Hi,one Kasa account (email address) can be used on multiple cell phones.
On your second cell phone, login Kasa app using same email address, and you will see all Kasa devices that being setup before.
Did you get any Error when try to log in using same email address?
