Deco x60 firmware v 1.5.1 (Build 20210204 Rel. 50164) is incredibly bad
Upgraded to 1.5.1 via the app and my network is crippled!
Prior to this firmware I had amazing throughput on my devices and internet speed tests at 100% my ISP rated service (200MB). Now I get .12MB, can't hold a stable VPN connection for my work laptop, RING devices randomly drop... it's a total s-show! Device to device within the network is crippled as well, streaming an MP3 @ 320k studders! I am beyond disapointed in this release.
I have done hard resets, soft reboots, hard reboots, switched to AP mode and back to router mode, verified DNS, turned off UPNP, all to no change. Deleted network from known networks on iOS devices, windows devices, all take me right back to where I was.
At this time I want to roll back to the previous version, the latest on the website, and I cannot.
The ability to roll back should be baked into the UI on the web interface!
Can anyone, from support or not, get me downgrade instructions for the Deco x60 from 1.5.1 to 1.0.5, the latest on the support site for firmware.

Anyone that have V1 and the 1.5.0 and have problem or is it just V2 and 1.5.1?
Ps. Really strange that TPlink said there is now hardware differens between them and they still have different firmware.

All my devices switched to 2.4ghz network after update because 5ghz network has low signal status after update (that's my assumption), that's why I see low internet speed on my devises. At the same time the main deco shows the right speed in the buildin speed test

I also have faced the same problems after firmware upgrade. My Deco V60's run in AP mode and I have serious issues with DHCP . Understand TP Link firmware 1.6 will have a switch to block Deco's (in the AP mode) from creating IP's in the DHCP and let that be reserved only for the router. Any idea when 1.6 will be released ?

Hi, the 1.6.x would be released on the Deco M5 first and for Deco X60, it might still need for a while;
For the speed issue, would you mind providing more details about the slow speed after the firmware upgrade, like the network diagram?
And there would not be a huge difference in the speed when Deco X60 is on the wireless router mode or access point mode;

Greetings... Appreciate the clarity of your reply . All my Deco V60's are in AP mode and wired with Gigabit Ethernet . The "hiccup" is my Router is an Asus AC87 U which controls the DHCP address .I have two internet service providers and the Asus which is the "Master" has Dual WAN which switches to Internet A or B as required . This would not be possible with the Deco V60 in Router mode. So I am looking forward to 1.6x where I could switch off the Smart DHCP .

I updated the Deco X60 firmware in yesterday and have the following problems.
Everything was good until I upgraded the firmware to v1.5.1 Build 20210204 Rel. 50164
- Speeds are terribly bad.
- Keeps dropping internet connections to a variety of devices randomly.
- Two devices next to each other connect to the same wifi. One has internet connection and other one doesn't.
I searched internet and found several users had exact same issues earlier in April and May this year. Any solutions at this point in August 2021? If not, can I rollback the firmware?

Hi, since 1.5.1 has added many featured, it could not be rolled back to the previous firmware directly.
If possible, please help me check the following details:
1. As for the speed, would you please provide more details about how much speed you could get before and after, via Ethernet connection, or 5Ghz?
--Some cases are caused by that clients tend to connect to 2.4ghz first after firmware upgrade.
2.What are these devices that kept losing the connection? And how often did the internet drop out?
3. ‘Two devices next to each other connect to the same Wi-Fi. One has internet connection and other one doesn't’, did it randomly occur to different devices, or some specific client? Are they connected but no internet service? Would turning Wi-Fi off/on restore the connection?
