Subject: Securing the On/Off button.


Hi all,

 

I'm the proud owner of a new KP115 smart plug.
 

 

  • Use case :  The use I have for the device is to keep an eye on power consumption of my small Dell Poweredge.

     
  • Issue : I would not want to accidentally shut down power to server while using the phone to check consumption

     
  • Suggestion : Add a PIN CODE requester / lock feature  -  To avoid any accidental power shutdown

    Depending destination of use one might want/need to secure the ON/OFF button usage

i like this idea! Also, have ability to exclude switches/outlets from alexa/google assistants shutting down when say 'turn off all the lights' is commanded.
