The HS100 or the mini version are not waterproof. They sustain water sprinkles, so if you really want to use the Smart Plug outside, you should keep the Plug covered with the protected cover it came with or buy an outside Smart Plug Protector.
@bs_98 are there any from tp-link? (outside Smart Plug Protector)
