This has the be the highest level of commercial deception I have ever experienced from a goods vendor.
 

TP-Link acquires Tapo and sells along with Kasa with Zero interoperability and none planned? This is just bizzare & deceitful. Zero warning of this when buying either, highly dishonest.

I trusted when purchasing a couple of Tapo plugs that they would work with Kasa, what a fool I am for doing so.

shame on you TP-Link, the only vendor in history to compete with itself to the detriment of their own customers.
