Model: Tapo L510E   Tapo L530E
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Tapo lamps L510, L530 do not turn on (off) by time (schedule) when Wi-fi or Internet is lost, i.e. if the router is turned off or the Internet is lost, the schedule will not work.

Improvement proposal: to make it possible for the light bulbs to keep the schedule on their own and they have their own internal clock or timer, which is synchronized with the Tapo server or time server if there is an Internet connection, or locally via Wi-fi with the phone via the Tapo application.

The schedule function for the Tapo smart lighting devices can work locally with no internet access, until there is a power failure.

Note: Smart Action (Automation) is a cloud-based service and requires internet access. If you create an automation that uses the time as trigger (e.g., turn on the bedroom desk lamp when it's 7:30AM every day), this rule won't take effect when there's no internet.
