I am having the same issue as others have noted on the forum. Flashing green light with no connectivity to TPLink servers on select cameras only (KC120 and EC60).

I have a KC120 that had been working perfectly fine since January. In the last month or so it randomly stopped working and I see a flashing green light on it. Nothing changed with my home network. In fact, I have 9 other Kasa devices working perfectly fine (3 KC200 cameras, multiple smart plugs and multiple smart bulbs). Not to mention many Nest products, game systems, and countless other wireless devices.

I reset the KC120 and reconfigured it multiple times, but it still does not work. I thought maybe the camera went bad, so I ordered 2 new Spot EC60 cameras.

Now, both of those brand new Spot cameras have the same exact problem. Flashing green lights all day long and they never fully connect. I have momentarily gotten them to show up in my Kasa app in the "updating firmware" state, only for that to lock up and they go back to flashing green after power cycle.

I have tried everything imaginable to troubleshoot from changing DNS, to isolating 2.4ghz wifi, disabling all firewalls/DDoS protection, smart protection, even reviewing my firewall logs for blocked entries for the MAC addresses (there is nothing), resetting and power cycling countless times. Nothing is working, meanwhile all my other Kasa devices work fine.

TP Link / Kasa, you need to figure out what is going wrong on your end. Whatever wifi controller these cams share, or maybe they're on a different cloud service than the other cameras/smart devices, something is wrong and it is not the customer's wireless home network.

Hello @JustinM

Thank you very much also for providing the case details,  as there are many factors that could influence the camera accessing cloud service,  you might see some similar cases in the forum and some are solved by trying different troubleshooting steps. If Kasa Camera flashes green after installation, or goes offline with a flash green led, we would normally suggest giving a try on troubleshooting steps in guide here:

Case 3- 2. System LED is flashing green.

What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa Cam?

If the concern persists despite the above steps, can you help provide some information here we would try to escalate your case, thank you

1. Model of router

2. Do camera connect to router directly or through extender

3. May I know did you recently update firmware on router or adjust any settings on router if camera was working fine before.

@Solla-topee thank you.

I had already gone through that troubleshooting guide, as well as all the various ideas that are on the forums here. No luck.

1. Model of router - Asus RT-AC88U

2. Do camera connect to router directly or through extender - Directly to the router

3. May I know did you recently update firmware on router or adjust any settings on router if camera was working fine before - No recent router firmware update. My KC120 camera had worked fine since January, then suddenly stopped working a month or so ago. As I mentioned previously, I have 9 other Kasa devices, including 3 Kasa KC200 cameras that still work perfectly fine.

If I have time, I have a backup router (Linksys) that I can try and see if I can rule out the router as a problem. So far, it makes no sense that all my other Kasa devices work, but the KC120 and two EC60's I just bought do not.

Hello @JustinM it would be nice if you could have the backup router to help exclude the issue,  thank you so much for the updated information, we would like to have a specialist look into the concern further through email,  please check your mailbox later.

Feel free to let us know how it goes. Thank you!

@Solla-topee if I have time, I will try the other router. Honestly, I am not sure how much more effort I am going to put into troubleshooting this, after already wasting half a weekend.

I bought a Wyze camera to test and not surprisingly, it setup and connected with no issue whatsoever. I also forgot to mention that I have Yi cameras as well, and of course those work fine. So, I have multiple Kasa KC200's that work fine (plus other Kasa smart devices), multiple Yi cameras that work fine, and a new Wyze camera I just setup today that works fine. I'm going to say my network/router is not an issue and there is something wrong w/ whatever service is supporting the KC120 and EC60's. It is very frustrating because I like the Kasa products in general and being able to have everything in one phone app.
