After trying several times, I could not connect my S200D(US) version 1.6 with my Tapo hub H100(EU) version 1.0.

 

Hub has been already succesfully added to the app and it is working (i.e. alarms are working when triggered through the app.)

 

I tried resetting the button many times (5 second press then 3x press) until it is blinking green. I tried adding it through the app by selecting my hub, and the hub started blinking blue. (I also tried to press the hub's side button for manual pairing but to no avail.)

 

I have attempted many times but it just won't connect. Is this a compatibility issue with the button (US) and the hub (EU)? How can I fix this?

Due to differences in the SubG frequencies, products with different country codes are not supported to be used together.

 

May i know where did you buy these products? Did you purchase these two products from the same place?

 

If the store sent you two products with different country codes, please contact the retailer for a replacement.

  @Wayne-TP Thank you for clarifying this. I bought them from different shops. 
 

Also, would I need different hubs for the 1st floor and 2nd floor (i.e. 1 hub for the 1st floor, 1 hub for the 2nd floor)?

Despite SubG's larger coverage compared to WiFi, actual home usage can encounter various interferences affecting its range, especially across multiple floors. We recommend conducting practical tests to decide if purchasing an additional hub is necessary.

 

In addition, please be aware that the hub is connected to the router via 2.4GHz WiFi. Ensure the hub is placed in a location with a stable signal to ensure the proper functioning of the entire SubG smart device system.
