Yes, indeed we need a Tapo desktop app.

I want to be able to view SD card recordings from my Win11 PC. It would make life much simpler for me. I use iSpy on my PC to view the cameras current images  but that does not have all the features of the TP app - especially, it does not view recordings in the camera.

Happy New Year 2025 to everybody......ho ho ho!!! 🎅🏿

Even though the customers have been requesting an app on Windows to use the Tapo devices for years, the company does not appear to make this happen in the near future as there is currently no update on this.

I have worked out 2 alternative solutions to use the Tapo devices on Windows.

1 is easy to setup and 1 is not so easy to setup.

! am going to create a video and share this on the internet as it will help a lot of people.

@Solla-topee "While I'm unfamiliar with the voting process for this thread, I would like to express strong support for a native Windows application for TP-Link cameras. Currently, Windows users are limited to emulators like BlueStacks, which can be cumbersome and resource-intensive.

A dedicated Windows application would significantly enhance the user experience and likely encourage further purchases of TP-Link camera products. I urge TP-Link to consider this development as a standard feature across their camera app ecosystem."
