L930-5 Animated Effects
I've just bought the L930-5 Homekit enabled strip lights but cannot find anyway of setting any animated effects in Homekit.
The TP-Link app forces you to use Homekit during set up but when the light has been installed there are only options to change colour and brightness. There is no effects menu or option. As the lights are advertised as providing animated effects and Homkit enabled, surely animated effects should be available in Homekit for automations etc. Or am I not seeing it for some reason?
Can anyone advise please.

HomeKit support is a convenient feature for users accustomed to Apple Home. However, the Tapo L930 is not an Apple device, and it has its independent app. Due to differences in functionality, complete adaptation is not guaranteed. Many features are developed in-house, and Apple Home itself does not provide support for all of them.
You can start a feature request post in the community and if other users are also interested in this feature, they can vote on it. Highly enthusiastic feedback on the request will be submitted to the product department for evaluation and potentially increased support in the future.
For those of you with iOS devices and have purchased a Tapo or Kasa HomeKit-supported device, if you would like to skip the HomeKit setup and manage your device directly using the Tapo or Kasa App, you can refer to the instructions in this post.
