Continuous Recording for battery power camera with external power source

Basically as the title.
I would love to have the option to turn on continuouse recording for the battery powered devices like C425, when I have solar panel, or continuouse power source. While i currently don't have power available, but I would love to have an option to just plug it in later when i have a chance to hire someone to add an new outdoor outlet, and I don't necessary need to change my camera.
plus, we can have soloar panel

@GusThePomelo this is a most have feature for me. I'm shocked that others already allow this. It's an easy fix and I'm suprised more users aren't complaining about it. I guess they don't realize they need it until they have some stuff missing.

I believe if the battery cameras detect a constant power source then there should be an option to enable onvif/rtsp for battery cameras, I believe this can be achieved with an update for battery cameras. TP-Link should also make a outdoor power cable for battery cameras as well with a fitting that'll still block water from getting into the port.

I’m using the Tapo C420 camera and would like to share some feedback and a feature request.
Currently, the camera only records when motion is detected, which is helpful in theory, but in practice, I’ve noticed that this functionality significantly drains the battery. Ironically, enabling motion detection-based recording consumes more power than expected, which affects the overall usability of the camera.
I would like to request the addition of a continuous recording option, even if it’s limited to when the camera is connected to a power source or solar panel. This would give users the flexibility to choose the recording mode that best suits their needs. Many users, like myself, would prefer a steady recording option to ensure no moment is missed, especially in security-critical areas.participate

Purchased 4 x C425 cameras + 1 H500 hub, and the motion/person detection is OK but lags in detecting and recording faces. It really needs to have an option that allows for continuous recording. I had an incident occur in my driveway and the detection and recording of the events occurred after the fact..I have this camera with plugged in for full power but no option for continuous recording. Please have this feature, at least having the option for whichever cameras are battery operated or plugged in.
If 24/7 capture recording is available on the C460 it should be the same for the C425.

I doubt that tp-link would add continuous recording feature. I believe they would simply let the existing products die.
I do regret that I bought C410.

This is BS. I bought this camera to record what is happening while I'm on vacation.
Now I have 2 choices:
1. not to record at all
2. record when there's detection - which means it will spam me every few seconds as it is pointed towards a road.
Add this feature. This is completely unacceptable. If I knew this before I would throw this C425 to a garbage bin instead of unpacking this crippled camera.
