Speaking of the smart button itself, the software features of the Tapo S200B and S200D are the same. The S200D is positioned as a dimmer switch, a smart switch that can control a light fixture without the need for hard wiring. When installed with the included wall plate, it functions as a "fixed" wall switch. However, if needed later, the S200D can be easily removed.

In contrast, the S200B is designed as a portable smart button. It serves as a trigger device that can be placed anywhere to control one or multiple smart devices and to initiate a smart scene or automation.

We have further confirmed and discussed this topic with the relevant team, speaking of the smart button itself, the software features of these two models are the same.
