This is much needed feature. We can use any other app while the Tapo app is on. So please have the PiP mode for the app. It is straightforward. I can help if you need assistance. Product Manager @Tapo let’s have a call. Also one complaint, the latest version of app drains battery way quicker than the older version. Not sure if I am the only one noticing it.

I just saw that Aqara released a new camera — the Camera G100. I’m not sure if the native Aqara app supports Picture-in-Picture (PiP), but since it’s HomeKit-compatible, you can use PiP through the Apple Home app. It also offers all the same features as the Tapo C120, and it’s in a similar price range. Hopefully, TP-Link steps up and adds PiP support soon — otherwise, I might just switch all my cameras to the G100.

Is there any update here? Without the PIP function, this camera cannot be utilized effectively as a baby monitor.

Picture in Picture is a must so you can have the video feeds handy and still be on your phone to do other tasks. Please incorporate this so users can minimize the app and it will automatically just show up.

Please add PiP. This is crucial for using this camera as a baby monitor. Currently, you are unable to see continue monitoring the picture if you leave the app which is insane and defeats the purpose of the monitor function. It’s impossible to not use any other apps while needing to monitor at the same time.
