Tapo Bulb L510E intermittently offline
I have a number of Tapo smart devices (Bulbs, Cameras, Plugs, Switches, Thermometer) which had been working flawlessly for a long time. In recent weeks, 3 L510E bulbs started to intermittently go offline then reconnect. This is not a WiFi network issue as other Tapo devices in the same room are OK. After some investigation I found that the one bulb (L510B) that was OK was a different Hardware Version. All 3 bulbs that had the issue were Hardware Version 1. I had some spare bulbs which were L510E, Hardware Version 2 so tried them. Problem fixed. The chances that 3 bulbs all developed then same issue at the same time is almost 0%, so believe that either a Firmware and/or App update caused it.
(To check your Hardware Version, go to the bulb in the Tapo App, select settings, then device info, and all is displayed).
Has anyone else seen this? Can TP-Link check and confirm what has happened and how they will fix as I have 3 unusable bulbs which is an expense I do not feel I should have.
