Model: Tapo L630
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 240621 Rel. 160629

Dear support,

It is very easy to trigger soft reset for the L630 lights with the 3 times on/off cycle.

Due to this in our house where we have more than 50 L630 lights almost very week I have to add the lights back in the app. the guests and the family members are pushing sometimes more then 3 times the on/off switch by mistake...

Can you please make the soft reset process with a more complex trigger?  for example to increase the reset trigger from 3 to 5 or more on/offs...

thx

Mihai

Performing a soft reset on the bulb requires turning it on and off three times in quick succession, that is totaling six on-off cycles, with each on-off interval limited to about 1 second. This reset method can be quite complex for most users.

If the bulb in your home is likely to be switched on and off six times in a short period, the actual number of such repeated operations may be even higher. I think that even if the reset rule requires more cycles, it wouldn’t significantly reduce the risk of the bulb being reset in your home.

I recommend considering a smart switch to control regular bulbs instead.
