I have a Deco X20 mesh network of 3 devices with the main unit connected to a BT Smart Hub. I was about to buy another X20 to extend the coverage in my house but then noticed the HX220 router.

Could anyone tell me if this could replace the BT router and still be compatible and visible on my Deco network please? It would then free up the master X20 to site elsewhere.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

HX220 is almost like Deco X20 which is a wireless router. 

I saw some BT Smart Hubs have DECT/Hybrid Connect & Digital Voice. none of them is available on Deco X20/HX220.

In other words, if Deco X20 couldn't replace the current BT hub, neither can HX220.

 

So if you only need extra Mesh access points, another Deco X20(or other Deco models), instead of Hx220 would be better.

Can different Deco models work together?

  @David-TP Many thanks - I had forgotten the voice side and yes - I do use digital voice with the BT hub as a replacement for our old copper landline.

Thanks for your quick response and useful advice anyway. I will now order another X20.
