I set up a different DoH & DoT but the Router keeps using the DNS from the internet service provider (Telekom). I even tried another DNS server via DHCP settings but also no better results. For example, i try to use controld DNS and they have a status page and it says its not using their DNS.

 

If the DoH is not working for the X50-5G, then why is it a feature to set it up?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Since Deco DOH/DOT only supports IPV4 DNS servers, have you checked whether the DNS resolution used the IPV4 or IPV6 DNS servers of Telekom?

didn't knew DoH/DoT only works with IPv4, havent checked yet

is there any way i can stop my Deco X50-5G from using IPv6?

why does DoH/DoT only use IPv4? will it also support IPv6 in the future?

Hi, If the SIM ISP don't use IPV6 only, you could change the PDP type to IPV4 only

Currently, there hasn't been a plan to support IPV6 DNS in DoH/DoT. But you could post a feature request here:

thank you, your solution didnt work because my ISP needs to use IPv6 to work but i found an older APN which only uses IPv4 and now i have encrypted DNS its just sad that DoH/DoT only supports IPv4 i posted a feature request
