Hi

 

I have a P110 Tapo smart plug

 

i I have it set to turn off at 2.58am and back on at 2.59am just to restart my router as our internet is usually terrible and needs this every day

 

the internet will still occasionally need a restart - is there an option to 'restart' the smart plug?

 

at the moment if I turn the smart plug off via the app, because it turns my router off, I then can't turn the smart plug back on

 

i either have to manually turn it back on, or set up a temporary schedule for that particular time of day

 

is there an option in the app to 'restart' a device/smart plug?

 

if not does anyone know how we can request this feature?

You should be able to do this directly into the T110 device settings as follows:

- Open the device in the app

- select the schedule button

- add a schedule task (use the + I top right)

- set the time to 2:58am, "Turn device On" and ensure repeat each day is selected and save.

- add another task for 2:59am, thus time to turn device off and save

 

I tested this and it worked with the wifi off. Let me know how it goes....

Your post has been transferred to the Feature Request block, this feature is not supported so far. 

 

To restart a router that is connected to the smart plug, you can do it by creating two schedules with a short interval, like what @Rbuck commented above.
