• Tapo smart bulb supports 2.4GHz WiFi only. Try to temporarily disable the 5GHz band of your network while configuring the light bulb, or set up a separate 2.4GHz WiFi network for the smart device.
• Change router 2.4GHz WiFi's security protocol to WPA/WPA2 Personal.
• Double-check the WiFi password. Do not use the auto-fill, manually enter the password instead. For testing, try to remove this WiFi from your phone's saved network, then reconnect it by manually entering the password. If the WiFi cannot reconnect, that means the password used is incorrect. How to remove existing wireless network profile on Android&iPhone
• If your router has advanced settings, such as mesh technology, WiFi 6 or WiFi 7, MU-MIMO, etc., disable them first.
