Hi,

I have a TAPO L510 bulb connected to a regular dumb light switch. By default, the bulb functions as an "ordinary" light bulb, being turned on and off with a dumb switch. However, I would like to make automation - when bulb receive power from dumb switch after 7 p.m., change brightness to a lower one.

The standard schedule, such as set the brightness to 50% at 7 p.m., does not work "backwards". If the bulb is turned on after 7 p.m. the schedule will not work. Of course, I could set 60 schedules every minute between 7 and 8 p.m., because then the light bulb will certainly be on, but I guess that's not the point.

Is there any way to get around this? Standard device "on/off" trigger also does not work because the bulb does not report a change in state after receiving power.

This is not supported.

Automation or the schedule feature requires the smart bulb to be online (power-on and connected to wifi) to work. The smart bulb is not even fully restarted and connected to wifi the moment when it is turned on from the switch.
