S200D No longer triggering Alexa routine

Yesterday I got a S200D dimmer remote and set it up with the hub H200. Connects fine and Alexa has found and added it to the Alexa app. I set up routines and it worked perfectly. However today it's no longer triggering the routines. It's working fine with the tapo app, it's just not triggering the Alexa routines. I have deleted the S200D from the tapo app and the Alexa app are started all over again. Connected to the hub fine, connected to Alexa fine, and allowed me to create routines. However it is still not activating Alexa routines.

Check whether the smart button or the Tapo hub has been disconnected from the cloud -- test whether you can ring the hub remotely through Tapo app when the phone switches cellular data.
What's the model, hardware, and firmware versions of your Tapo hub?
If it is a remote control failure issue, refer to the suggestions here in case 2. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices

@Rockall__ did this get fixed?
I am facing a similar problem with S200B (was working fine until yesterday), and also Doorbell D230S1 stopped announcing to Alexa suddenly.

You may refer to my suggestions above to troubleshooting this issue. The first thing is to confirm whether your Tapo devices are still online (connected to the cloud), third-party service connection will be lost if the smart device has disconnected from the cloud.

@Wayne-TP like I said, everything is fine with the tapo app and devices. That's is not the issue so please stop suggesting that.
If I set up an automation for the switch within the tapo app it works fine every time. If I make a routine in Alexa it won't work for 24 to 48 hours if I add a new device. I also have the same issue with the d235 and Alex routines. They very rarely trigger.
To clarify I have tapo lights, switches and a doorbell. All work perfectly fine with the tapo app AND Alexa app. The issues are with the Alexa auto routines ONLY. I can make an Alexa routine that activates on voice and it will work every time. I can even press the play button on a routine and it'll work. The issue is with the routine being triggered Automatically. I have found many people reporting the same issue on Reddit. So there is clearly an issue. Also on Reddit lots of people in the Europe are experiencing some or all devices going offline for a day or two. This is been for the last two weeks. I haven't had this problem tho

@Spartan66 I don't have the problem I mentioned before because I have changed allyl my smart devices to tapo. Tapo lights, switches, sensors and doorbell. The issue you have is with the routines auto triggering through Alexa. I don't know whether the issue is with tapo or Alexa but it is something between the two. Read the other comment I just made, for more info.
What are you trying to control with the s200b switch?

@Rockall__ I repeatedly tried removing and re-adding devices and at some point it started working again (all the button routines and doorbell announcement started working again) - not able to pinpoint what fixed it. I read about the internals of it -- seems like for such routines, the device interrupt should first go to Tapo cloud, and then Tapo cloud would send it to Alexa cloud for the routine to work. If any of this communication calls fail, it would break. Given that only button routines and doorbell announcement failed for me (and door sensor and motion sensor routines worked just fine), my guess is there was a temporary glitch with Tapo cloud for these device types, which was addressed.
