Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.15.24.17

Hi,

I have noticed this in recent versions, since I went to LAN DNS (coincidence perhaps), and removed my external DNS server (so thinking this is controller / gateway DNS related?). In the Controller interface, when I go to Global View > Firmware, I get the following error (and no firmware updates to check),

Operation failed. Please check your network connection

I see a similar error going to Settings > System Settings > Check for Updates. So some (DNS?) error it seems.

I also noted a duplication on DNS (perhaps)? The two places I see these are below ... duplication, or different somehow? These are both at the Site level (i.e. not Global),

1) Settings > Internet > Edit (WAN connection) > Advanced Settings: Can set the DNS Server

2) Settings > LAN > Edit (Network) > DNS Server: Can also set the DNS Server, and the two settings are not the same?

Thanks!

  @n0sh1t That was it, thanks! I didn't think it was a resolver issue, but I did,

sudo systemctl restart systemd-resolved.service

And then all was good. Appreciate it!

  @arrmo

Did your Omada Controller used the removed DNS server ? If yes did you reboot your Omada Controller's PC/Server/VM so it gets the new DNS address ?

You should also verify that your computer/server that hosts the Omada Controller has internet access.

I had the same issue and after rebooting my Ubuntu server (where my controller is installed) everything was back online.

Omada Controller : v6.0.0.23 Gateways : ER8411 V1.0, ER7206 v1.0 and ER605 V2.0 Switches : SG3428X v1.30 & TL-SG2008P v1.0 APs : EAP773 v1.0, EAP620HD v1.0 and EAP610 v3.0
