Please add back on/off status of Android widgets. Now every time I had to open the app to get the information.
This simple feature is working on my Kasa Android app and IOS Kasa/Tapo app. I don't know why Kasa can but not Tapo app. You had disconnected Kasa products in Asia and I was forced to purchase this unfinished Tapo devices.
Even other brands like WEMO can do it.
Support this feature request, it's quite frustrating not being able to tell that the plug or light is on from the widget and therefore having to open the app to check.
Support told me that the reason not support was Android widget refresh rate is 30mins, which was too slow to reflect the changes.
In fact, when I search for the web, I got the answer was:
In Android 15, the updatePeriodMillis attribute in the appwidget-provider XML file still defines the minimum refresh time for widgets, which is 30 minutes. However, developers can use other mechanisms like WorkManager or AlarmManager to schedule more frequent updates or trigger updates in response to specific events.
I hope developers can consider to add this feature back.
