Hello,

I would like to request the ability to manually configure the IPv6 delegated prefix in Deco’s Internet connection settings.

Some ISPs, such as Free in France, do not support DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation which is normally used to automatically assign an IPv6 prefix to the router. As a result, it is currently impossible to use IPv6 properly with Deco in router mode, since the prefix cannot be retrieved.

Many other routers (including some TP-Link Archer models) allow to manually enter the delegated prefix, making IPv6 fully usable even with ISPs that lack PD support.

For more context, I discussed it in this topic

Adding this feature would greatly improve compatibility for users whose ISPs do not provide all required IPv6 mechanisms.

An up but I don't want this topic to be automatically closed as it happened for DTIM interval configuration. A basic setting with no reply. In fact another if I also mention the DTIM interval I quoted.

Please TP-Link, prioritize this.

In Ireland we have some ISPs that use /56 or /48 as Prefix Delegation.

I can't get a valid IPv6 address impacting a lot my work and sometimes gaming, for those modern games that work with creating sessions directly through IPv6.

This is really importand, and I'm considering ditching my main Deco and use other vendor because of this limitation. If I have to spend extra 100 euros on a Mikrotik I might also replace this main Deco X50 which I use to dial my pppoe.
