I want my bulb to be daylight-colored between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM and red between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, but there aren't any conditions available for this in smart action tab. For example, the user has chosen to have the light red between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Even if the light switch is off, the smart action should check the time when the switch is turned on, and if it's 9:00 PM, for example, the light will turn red. It's that simple.

Automation requires the device to be powered on and online at all times. If the bulb is turned on using a physical switch, its associated automation will not take effect.

 

To have the smart bulb show different colors or brightness upon turn on during different periods, the key is to set the automation effective time to that target time frame. Then the rule is simple: When the bulb is turned on, Then turn on the bulb and set the lighting to xxx. How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app
