Hi,

 

I have recently bought and setup this modem and have started to try and get the parental controls to work, however none of them appear to work properly and some at all.  The history is limited, and disappears after a day, maximum of 20 entries despite hours being spent on devices.  The website blocking doesnt work, neither does the device blocking or the bedtime settings.  

 

I have checked for firmware updates and the latest is installed.  What else can I do to rectify this?

For UK the EU region firmware is used. So you should be able to use this update for your device.

Double check the VR1800v bottom sticker for FW region and HW version - details.

Be sure to unzip and use the .bin file when uploading the file to the VR1800v.

Here you can find the latest FW release for VR1800v. Update the FW and then test if there's an improvement.

  @terziyski thank you.  The link you've posted takes me to an update dated 22 Oct 2025,  but I get a warning to only download from my local website, the latest update there is dated 23 Oct 2024.  Should I download the 2025 update even though it hasn't been published on the UK site? Have included photos of both sites above

  @terziyski me again.  I tried updating anyway and got this error message. So looks like this firmware won't work with my hardware. Is it likely the version will be released in the UK?
