Hi

I originally installed this switch quite some time ago (maybe 18 months or so?), and although it wouldn't fit the back box properly, the long screws held it well enough to be stable, and the switch worked just fine.

Last week, I finally had the opportunity to change the back box for a deeper one. The switch finally fits. Everything is neat and tidy.

Except... Now the physical switch doesn't trigger properly. If I press hard, directly over the inner button, it will work, but not if pressed normally. The smart functionality also works perfectly - it's definitely a physical issue.

I have tried a few different front plates on it, and tried wedging something behind, but this hasn't helped.

Has anyone else found this issue? Is there an easy fix for it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

loosen screws and it should work again, I had same problem, when you tight them too much it bends backplate

@SugarBaby this was perfect - thank you so much. I can't believe it was something so simple.

I've loosened them as much as I dare, and it's working much better now. It's a bit iffy at the extreme edges, but I don't think I'll ever just press it there in normal usage.

Any backplate should fix that:
