I attempted to use a simple acl rule to block my cameras from the internet> i set a lan-wan acl rule set to deny all protocols from the ip group that has teh cameras to all ips. I waited 15 min but the cameras are still online. I am not sure what to do. I think the ACl rules are not working at all. I am new at this so I am not sure how to test but I as far as i can tell the rules are doing nothing.

I am hoping for a solution that doesnt mean I need to reconnect my entire network.

I was a little scared when I saw this post since I have the same solution and I don't want the camera to be available on the internet, but luckily ACL works here for me. What router do you have?

Its possible that the rule isnt working because they cameras already have outgoing traffic when you activated the rule counting them as an active sessions for the state tracking (gateway ACLs are stateful)

Try rebooting the router

If you dont have an omada router the gateway rules wont do anything

I have a number of LAN>WAN blocks and they all work fine

@MR.S I have an ER702.v2.20 router and the SG2016p.v1.2   The strange thing is that when I created a new lan and then wan assigned to it I could block that just fine. I am going to try rebooting everything. But to be honest I think I am just going to move the cams to a seperate lan anyway for security.

How did you block before then? Can you show me a screenshot of how you did it when it doesn't work?
