I bought a Kasa smart switch couple of years ago to replace my home switch. 
In general I like the switch and it's features and settings. The only annoying feature is the LED indicator light. It doesn't ON when the switch is ON (it's the otherway)

Does any of the new models either from Kasa or Tapo have the option to show the status LED ON when the light/load on.
Previously it was like locator mode than a status mode.

  @speed01  To my knowledge, all current smart switches have the same design on the LED indicator.

This screenshot was taken from a Kasa Matter Smart Dimmer Switch model KS225. It's also a Matter certified switch as well. I'm sure other Kasa and Tapo switches have this option.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, this is the issue. As mentioned when the device is OFF, the LED lights up.
Most of the smart switches in the market shows this feature opposite.
The LED will lights up when the switch is ON. That way it's visible and I prefer this option.

Sorry about that. Every Kasa switch has worked liked that, Not sure how they set up the Tapo switchs lets ask Wayne who works for tp-link.
