Will there be a Tapo version of the Kasa KE100
Will there be a Tapo version of the Kasa KE100
Would like to buy some smart TRV's was looking into the KE100. I already have Tapo products and did have a Kasa camera that worked with the Tapo app. This camera went faulty so I replaced it with a Tapo version.
there seems to be issues with pairing ke100 with Tapo after an app update. I thought Kasa and Tapo worked together but appears not with this product.
is there any plans for Tapo to bring out a smart TRV?

@SillySy do not buy KE100! Today I bought the kit (hub and thermostat), I am very disapointed that the ke100 is not supported by tapo. Really stupid to have to use two separate apps for devices from one manufacturer. Really big - for tp-link. As I read the forum I see that previously the ke100 was supportd by tapo but since more than 1 year they changed something and now you cannot use through tapo, you need to install kasa.
Dumb!

Hi @SillySy
I'm really confused. The post below (from September 2025) indicates that the KASA KE100 valves are now supported by the TAPO app:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/814090
@Kiroslavov Is this not the case?
@Wayne-TP Please could you clarify the situation?
That other post includes screenshots of KASA KE100 valves integrated into the TAPO app using a H100 Hub.
If these are not genuine, you need to make this clear - preferably before we all rush out and buy KE100 valves from the TAPO Black Friday sale!
If there really IS now support for KASA KE100 valves in the TAPO app using the H100 Hub (as shown in that other customer's screenshots), does the TAPO H500 Hub also integrate with the KE100's?
And if the answer is "currently no", is this a feature which is coming soon?

I can confirm that they are NOT supported by the Tapo app. Apparently they once were and have been removed after an update. That's why I wondered if there removed for a reason like if Tapo were making their own trv
the Kasa valves do connect to the Tapo thermostats T310. So room temp can be seen that way. And the trv uses that temp as the room temp rather than the trv temp

Hi @SillySy
@Jebeyer says the KASA KE100 valves work with his TAPO H100 Hub and the version of the TAPO app shown in that thread is 3.13.818 - which was released 27th August 2025.
I am aware that some level of KASA support in the TAPO app had been introduced a few years ago, and was then subsequently withdrawn (for reasons unknown) but this suggests that support for the KE100 valves has now been added back - at least when using the H100 Hub.
Of course, it would be really, really useful if the TAPO app's release notes said something other than "Fixed some bugs and improved stability"...
@Jebeyer, is the KE100 integration still working in the latest version of the app?
@Wayne-TP Please could you confirm the current situation?
(I've seen some of your other comments about this, but there seems to be evidence that your previous comments are out of date)
Thanks.
(The TAPO Black Friday Sale is only for 2 more days, so I'd really appreciate a prompt reply)

I can see the Kasa Hub on the Tapo app but there is no control for the TRV.
I did see somewhere that the Tapo h100 hub doesn't work with the Kasa trv.
I don't understand why tp-link are going backwards with the updates with removing cross brand compatibility.
would also be useful if they did boiler controls too.
im going to have a play and see if i can make some work.

Hi @SillySy
Thanks for that.
This is very odd, isn't it?
There's obviously something going on, but it seems we're not allowed to know about it!
@Jebeyer managed to configure a TAPO H100 Hub to work with KASA KE100 valves and had this working in a very recent version of the TAPO app.
In fact, just 3 weeks ago, in the thread below @Jebeyer said that both the KE100 and KE110 are both working in version 3.14.516 of the TAPO app:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/814090?replyId=1631370
One thing to note, @Jebeyer does mention using a H100 Beta firmware (released 24-Jun-2025). Perhaps the behavior of the TAPO app is conditioned by the firmware level of the attached H100 device
Alternately, the H100 hardware version may be a factor. I see there are currently at least 4 different hardware versions of the H100 mentioned on different TAPO pages. It may be that the KASA integration only works with some of these.
Whilst I can understand that components and manufacturing may change, one of things I find VERY disappointing with TAPO is the way in which they abandon their earlier hardware revisions. For example, the C200 camera now has at least 10 different hardware versions, but only the most recent hardware is supported by firmware compatible with the H500 Hub
@Jebeyer, is the KE100 integration still working in the latest version of the app? What hardware version is your H100 Hub? Are you in Europe, USA or Japan?
@Wayne-TP The TAPO Black Friday Sale is only on for 1 more day.
I've seen some of your other comments about this, but there is clear evidence that your previous comments are out of date.
What can you tell us about the H100 Beta firmware, and the KASA KE100 integration which @Jebeyer says is working already?
Thanks.

Previously, the teams launched a beta trial for the KE100, testing the device's functionality in the Tapo App. During the trial, it was determined that continued development and support for the devices in the Tapo app would not be feasible. For the users who participated in the trial, the functionality remains "as-is" and is retained for those users; however, the beta test has long been suspended, and the feature is not supported.

Hi @Wayne-TP,
Sorry, but I think you are still replying with out-of-date information.
The H100 Beta firmware which @Jebeyer is using (as mentioned above) was released just a few months ago - June 24th, 2025.
I think this is the most recent firmware update for the H100.
Surely that can't be what you are describing as "long been suspended" ?
We all aware that there was a move towards full KASA product support a few years ago, and that this was withdrawn in a later update.
Perhaps you are getting confused by the memory of that?
However, there is very clear evidence (from @Jebeyer's repeated screenshots in the last few weeks) is that this integration is once again fully working using the most recent firmware and TAPO app versions.
So, going back to my previous question, what can you tell us about the Beta firmware for the H100 which was released June 24th 2025?
What new features does it include?
What hardware versions was it released for?
When will it be on general release?
Is this the essential requirement which has enabled @Jebeyer to get KE100's working in the latest version TAPO app using a H100 Hub?
Please advise.
