Hi!

I have several Decos at home. I bought a X10 and put it to M5 power adapter in the very same location.

X10 is blinking red every now and then, frequently and daily. M5 never did that.

I realized power adapter is not the same in M5 and X10 based on figures on adapter.

Can this cause the behaviour in my X10? Because X10 should have better range than M5, that should not be the cause for instability, right?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Would there be any specific reason that you used the power adapter of Deco M5 to power Deco X10?

(Deco M5 is 12 V/1.2A and Deco X10 is 12V/1A)

How about the firmware versions of the Deco M5?

Can I have some screenshots of the network map on the Deco App, such as:

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Power cable was and is in hard-to-reach located place and interface was a match, I was not aware of any differences. Another X10 seemed to work on wider range so just switched the wifi equipment.

I have returned the wifi equipment M5 in original place and found out the powers are T120120 and T120100 and ampers differ and also the watts.

It would be nice to see power information in sales package or elsewhere. Even when googling I can't find this information anywhere and that's what forced me to ask here in the first place. Now I know a lot more and most possibly it is a cause for my unstable X10.

Carrying on with correct powers.
