Solution Fixes: Smart Control Not Working on Kasa KE110 and Linked KE100
This Article Applies To
- KE110(EU) V1.0 - Firmware 1.1.0 Build 250225 Rel.192437
- The KE100 that is linked with the KE110
Description
When linking a KE100 to a KE110, you may find that the Smart Control settings on the KE100 do not work as intended. For instance, the target temperature may not adjust according to the schedule, and heating may continue based on the previous plan even after a new schedule is set to begin.
Workaround
R&D has developed new firmware that addresses this issue. Before the official release, community users are provided early access to the firmware. If you would like to have a try, follow the instructions below to apply the firmware.
**Please ensure your Kasa KH100 hub has been updated to the latest firmware 1.7.5 Build 260304 Rel.032022 before submit the beta request.
How to Apply Beta Firmware
1. Find the Mac address of the KE110: Open the Kasa app and navigate to the smart device's Device Settings page > Device Info.
2. Send a private message to @Wayne-TP with this format:
[KE110 Smart Control Issue] + Mac address of your KE110
Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update firmware of Kasa smart devices
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.

hi wayne,
i have tried to create new topic, but for an unknown reason, there is every time note: Please enter the corresponding text according to the type of language. - which is funny / have no idea what language TP-Link prefers... :D
so please excuse myself I am paste my current issue here:
Hi guys,
I am experiencing a confirmed firmware issue with the KE110 thermostat and KH100 hub.
After latest app SW update a full reset of KE110, KE100 and KH100, deleting all Smart Control schedules and creating new ones, the KE110 immediately switches to 30°C as soon as it pairs with the KH100 hub.
This happens consistently and is fully reproducible.
Thank you for any help!
Roman
The 30℃ reading you’re seeing is likely because you adjusted the temperature in 0.5℃ increments. This feature isn’t officially supported on the KE110 yet, so using it could lead to unexpected behavior or issues.
I've sent a new beta to your KE110 and KH100, which should resolve this issue.
