Dear Community.

 

My SetUp: I reduce the Temperature of all KE100 during night using Smart Control (timebased reduction from 22°C to 18°C).

 

How can I setup an Away-Scene to reduce Temperature permamently to 18°C, when I'm away?

 

I setup a Scene that turns all KE100 off nut unfortunately the next Smart Control Action (timebased) turns them on again.

 

Is there another way?

- Does location based 'Intelligent' Geofence-Scene overrule Smart Control?

- Do I need something like Home Assistant to realize something like this?

 

If it's not possible to do something like this with KASA out of the box, I would like to place a Featurerequest.

This feature is not supported on the KE100. However, we have a new product that can help you do that, the Kasa KE110. You can link multiple KE100 units to a KE110 for centralized control, enabling you to set smart schedules and manually adjust temperatures for all connected devices simultaneously. A key feature is Hold Temperature, which lets you decide how heating continues after a manual adjustment: resume smart control at the next scheduled time, after a set duration, or only when manually restored.

  @Wayne-TP What about GeoFencing?

 

With that i could theoretically go to holiday and the temperature is set to a lower value.

What i am not clear about, what temperature is set when the geofence is left. Is just the 5°C to prevent freezing?

 

I have purchased the KE100 with a hub.

Do I understand it correct: Geofencing overrules Timetables, so if one is away, the temperature will be reduced AND the next scheduled event will be ignored?

The geofencing is simply an automation trigger, the supported action skill for the KE100 does not include controlling the Smart Control. You can adjust the temperature with geofencing, but the Smart Control is still on.
