Light randomly turns on
Hello,
I installed the bulb a couple of days ago and seemed to be working fine but then it came on around 5am. I changed the auto update time to the afternoon in case the 5am one was due to the 3-5am auto update and the next night it came on at midnight and then 5am.
I have updated the setting if there is a power outage to turn back to last state instead of on.
The only scheduled on/off are the ones I've done for the morning and evening which do not relate to these times.
There are no timers sets.
It isn't set to holiday mode
Is there anything else I need to check/update?
Do I need to try a hard reset if this continues to try to resolve?
Is this a know issue with this bulb? If so is there a workaround?
There have been some brown outs in the area so I wondered if the power outage setting may have been triggered. Today it randomly altered the colour and brightness slightly.
I am the only person with access to it so it isn't another person altering any settings.

As for the reset issue caused by unstable power supply, the official firmware hasn't been released. I found a setting where if there is a power cut and power returns you can set to either last on state or to on and it is set to on as default. Changing this setting seems to have resolved the random switch ons.
I have also done a hard reset today to cover all bases (and changed the setting again so it will go to last on state after a power outage).
Hopefully this will help someone else if they face a similar issue.
Open the bulb on the tapo app > press the hexagonal settings button in top right > select default state > When power cuts off but returns, you want the tapo device to settings and select turn on/off (to on if last state was on on and vice versa)
This prevented it from coming on in middle of the night/early hours of the morning (when there must have been unstable power supply)
I also removed the schedule on in the morning as it would come on flashing (due to the known issue with unstable power supply) and it was too much hassle to find a phone and have to reset each morning, I'll go back to using SAD alarm clock for this function.

@Unicorn_Rainbow New issue, this morning when it came on as per schedule it just flashed on and off constantly, wouldn't respond in app.
Only way to stop was to turn off at switch. Seems like it went into some sort of setup mode?
I will try setting it up again and see if issues continues.
I can see these is a known issue with the sort reset turning on/off 3 times which was in Beta testing few months ago (not sure if update has been released or if still in Beta) in areas of unstable power sources. I was not aware I was in a particularly unstable area but do know a different part of the city had a short power cut about a week ago so there is potentially an issue in the area.

A minha estava configurada, funcionando normalmente... mas derrepente ela passou a ligar e desligar "sozinha". Desconfigurei e voltei a configurar... Nada deu certo! Ela acendia por conta própria e eu pegava o smartphone para desliga-la... E isso foi por 2 semanas... E para piorar, a do quarto também começou a fazer a mesma coisa! Agora uso ambas como lâmpadas comuns, ligo e desligo no interruptor!
Já coloquei no carrinho novas de outra marca... Tapo Tp-link nunca mais... me arrependo em ter comprado.

If it wasn't the automation, then i would suggest factory reset the light bulb, and give it a new name, monitor how that works. How to reset the Tapo smart bulb
