Model: Tapo L535E
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.8

Hello all,
I've had this smart light for over a month, and it was set to fade off (over 30 minutes) every night at 23.00. The fade would begin at 23.00 and end at 23.30. It has been working just fine until a few days ago, when it suddenly stopped fading. Now for several days at 23.00 it simply turns off immediately.

I am unable to fix this. Tried checking for updates, re-programming the schedule, restarting the light, etc.

I can't find a similar story when googling. Has anyone encountered this?

Thanks!

Please check whether any automation rules set up in the Tapo app or on linked platforms like Alexa or Google Home might be conflicting with the fade schedule for this bulb (e.g. turn off instead of fade off).

Try to factory reset the device and reconfigure it, see if that helps. How to reset the Tapo smart bulb

By the way, please double-check the hardware and firmware version of your device. Tapo L535E V3 doesn't seem to have the firmware version 1.1.8.

  @Wayne-TP

Thanks for the reply.

I have no automation rules, and do not use any smart assistants.
The hardware and firmware versions are what my 'Device Info' page says.

I was able to solve this by editing the device schedule and deleting the problematic fade-off event, and then re-creating it exactly. For now it seems to be working.

Throughout this period of having this bug, my light had 2 other scheduled fades that where working just fine. Only the fade off at 23:00 was giving me this bug.

Thanks for the suggestions.
