Kasa Smart 4MP 2K Outdoor Security Cameras Drop Off the Wifi Network regularly
I have 2 Kasa Smart 4MP Model No. KC420WS Outdoor cameras purchased in December 2022 and installed by an electrician on 10.2.2023 worked well for about a year. When the internet goes down (regularly sadly), the cameras disconnect from the network and I have to then reset them, remove them from the network and re-join. On trying to rejoin the house wifi it does not work and have to keep trying. Each camera is no more than 2 metres from a wifi extender. This also happens when the power goes out, though I suppose that is to be expected. This is a real pain as well as being annoying. Luckily one outdoor camera is reachable via a ladder and when that is re-joined the other outdoor camera automatically rejoins the network. I have since had the internet company around to review the operation of the internet and upgraded the speed of the internet service - still not what I would call first world service. The 3 indoor cameras are ok. Is there some upgrade I need for the cameras, or maybe purchase different models now? Or there is no option when the NBN drops out. Hardware Version is 1.0 and Firmware Version is 2.3.26. Any insights will be helpFul.
