Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0

I am facing issues, when enabling the ipv6 settings for my deco mesh network. My mackbook pro m1 and m1 ipad air keep disconnecting consistently and not able to have stable internet connections. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue.

Also I have observed that I am not able to connect my Home assistant server connected to the main network to work with Iot network when device isolation is turned on. Is there a way to bridge the IoT network with the device isolations to be visible for Home assistant server?

Thanks in advance

Hi, welcome to the community.

When the device isolation is enabled, the Isolated device can only talk to other isolated devices.

For the IPV6 connection issue, did only Apple devices get affected?

How about other Windows or Android devices?

May I know your internet service provider? Apart from the Deco X50-POE, do you have any other ISP-provided router in front of the Deco?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Hi David,

Thanks for responding to my query.

Regarding IPv6 issues:

My ISP is Pioneer Elabs (Hyderabad, India)
There is a ONT device that is connected to the main Deco, which is running in Router mode. It connects to the ISP via PPPoE.

I have my other Deco x50-POE (2) connected via a POE switch and have Ethernet back haul.

I have mostly Apple devices, but didn't check the connection drops on my Android devices. And my windows pc is connected to the network via Ethernet.

I have tried changing the IPv6 assignment type from DHCP v6 to SLAAC + Stateless on the app, but couldn't find any improvement.

Also enabling IP v6  caused my WebOs Tv (connected to the mesh via WIFI) to loose internet (could be due to some flapping in IP v6) assignements.

The primary reason I want IpV6 enabled is to connect my Matter devices to the Home assistant. But unable to make a local IPV6 network. (Couldn't find any options on the Deco app)

Regarding Device isolation:

I understand that the isolated devices can only talk to the other devices on the isolated network, but the problem I have mentioned is that I would like my Home assistant network to get access to the IoT network, and would like to better understand how the Decos isolate, so that I find a bridging solution for my Home Assistant server to locally connect to the isolated IoT devices.

On a side note,
I was not able to connect to the Deco network via the app (IOS or Android) when not on the home network. (Not a big problem, but was able to connect to a Deco network at my older home from outside).
Or able to update the firmware on this Deco units via the app (as they never were able to connect to the TP-link services)

Thanks in Advance
