Model: KE100 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I've just tried to set up the KE100 with an external thermostat (Tapo T310) and a Tapo P110 socket to control a humidifyer, but it seems imposible. The P110 device can't be added to Kasa and the KE100 can't be added to Tapo. I set them up seperatly then all of a sudden Kasa said that some devices can be used in Tapo and just removed the hub and T310.

Why can't I add the KE100 to Tapo? It came in a kit with a hub and the hub can be added to Tapo.

If I split the devices across Kasa and Tapo they seem to get confused and the external temperature setting feature of the KE100 isn't realiable.

Is there any way to get the KE100, Tapo T310 and P110 working together to control heat and hymidity?

This is my first experice with Tapo/Kasa and so far it seems a mess.

I'm afraid the Kasa KE100 KIT is not supported in the Tapo app. If you want to create interaction between the KE100 and a smart plug, purchase a Kasa smart plug instead.

Alternatively, you may consider using third‑party platforms such as Alexa or Google Home, which allow you to manage supported Kasa and Tapo devices in one place.

@Wayne-TP thanks for the reply. The KH100 hub does show up in the Tapo app though, and that was included in the thermostat kit. There are also multiple posts on here about tp-link being able to enable support for the KE100. I understand that the hardware might be using a different protocol but it seems like a very odd choice not to allow them to be managed in the same app. After all, the app is just an interface for your backend services isn't it?
