S200B & S200D Switches - Connecting to H500 Hub
S200B & S200D Switches - Connecting to H500 Hub
I bought a host of Tapo Devices to use with a recently purchased Tapo H500 Hub.
- Tapo C220 Camera
- Tapo C460 Camera
- Tapo D235 Doorbell
- Tapo S200B Switch
- Tapo S200D Switch
Everything seemed fine, but I cannot get the Switches (Either of them) to work with the H500 Hub. Now I found somewhere that this may be due ot the localisation of the devices. The Hub was bought from Amazon US, and everything else from the Tapo Store UK. I am based in the UK.
Is this true? And more so, what do I do in this situation for a workaround? The US Amazon Hub purchase I really don't want to send back. Is there any way to switch to a UK one? Everything is new.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround. Tapo SubGHz devices sold in the US and the UK operate in different wireless frequencies, they're technically incompatible. You may return the hub and buy a new one locally. TP-Link - Where To Buy

I'm facing the same issue. I purchased an S200B switch from Amazon US and an H100 Hub in Brazil, but they refuse to pair. I've tried every possible troubleshooting step. To make matters worse, I recently bought a US-spec Hub H110, which I assume means it won't work with Brazilian Sub-1GHz sensors either?
This is very disappointing news. Information regarding regional frequency locks should be clearly stated in the product description. It’s frustrating that these devices are sold globally without a clear warning that hardware from different regions is incompatible due to different radio frequencies.

Products sold by third‑party sellers on Amazon may sometimes be versions intended for different regions. Have you checked the product label to confirm its regional version?
Regional compatibility is stated on our website. If it’s not visible on the page you visited, please share the link and I’ll report it to the team responsible for updates.

@Wayne-TP In this case, the H110 and S200D were sold to me directly by Amazon USA, and the product page mentions nothing about compatibility or usage restrictions outside of the United States. As for the H100, it was purchased from Amazon Brazil, and it also didn't mention any regional compatibility issues. Looking at the descriptions on the sales pages, I get the impression they are just copies of the local Tapo page for each country.

Thank you, your feedback has been forwarded to our relevant team for review.
By the way, I was also asking about something else -- did you check the product labels to confirm the regional version marked on them? For example, are both labeled as “US,” or is one “US” and the other “BR”?
