Tapo soil moisture sensor
Dobrý den, chci se zeptat za TP-link bude v budoucnu vyrábět půdní senzor vlhkosti, který by spoustu lidí, včetně mě, uvítali. Děkuji a přeji hezký den.

Dear TP-Link Team, I am writing to inquire whether you plan to develop a soil moisture sensor compatible with the Tapo ecosystem. Many users, myself included, would find this very useful. Thank you for your time and have a great day. Best regards,

Could you share some background on why you’re interested in this product?
For example: how do you plan to use it, how will it work with other Tapo devices, and have you used similar products before (which ones)? Detailed information about your needs and usage scenario will help us better evaluate this suggestion.

Dear TP-Link Team, I would like to see a Tapo soil moisture sensor in your product lineup. My goal is to use it in my greenhouse and fields to monitor moisture levels in real-time and automate a drip irrigation system. While Gardena offers a similar functional solution, I prefer to keep my smart home within the Tapo ecosystem. It is a shame that there isn’t a native Tapo solution for this yet.

I would be interested in such a product as well for the uses described above. It can be easily linked with my Tapo smart plugs, which turn on my drip irrigation pumps. Right now the plugs operate on a schedule but it would be more helpful to water depending on the moisture level in the soil. It would be great if wires can be buried in the soil to cover a larger area although individual probes would work as well.

This would be a useful product addition for use in greenhouses and also for monitoring house plants.
The sensor would need to be small, battery powered and (to reduce energy it's requirement) operate in the sub-1G frequency band. Ideally it would be powered by a single non-rechargeable AAA battery.
In addition to the moisture sensor, a TAPO watering pump would be a complimentary product.
I've seen devices such as these made by other manufacturers - but of course these aren't compatible with the TAPO ecosystem.
