Having taken the doorbell down for charging, it is continually detecting our movement in the house and announcing it via Google Home.
Is there an on/off switch that will turn the device off while charging and back on when I put it back up again?

Wouldn’t it be easier to simply block the doorbell camera? For instance, you could position it facing downward on a table, which would also make charging more convenient.
That being said, this seems like a practical feature. I’ll move your post to the Feature Requests section to see if other users share this idea.
