Hello,

I own a TP-Link Deco X3000-5G using a Very Mobile (WINDTRE) SIM card.

When 5G is enabled, the connection occasionally goes offline and the LED turns red. Switching the network mode to 4G Only immediately restores the connection.

The signal quality is good (5G NSA N78, RSRP around -83 dBm, SINR 15–16 dB), so it does not appear to be a coverage issue.

I have also found reports from other users describing similar 5G instability problems.

Is this a known firmware issue? Are there any firmware updates or recommended settings that could resolve it?

Thank you.

During the outage the Deco showed:

Internet Status: Offline

ISP: N/A

Network Type: None

Signal Strength: 0%

SIM Status: Ready

The connection was restored immediately after switching from 5G Preferred to 4G Only.

Hi,
You can try some suggestions in the instructions below to troubleshoot.
Deco X50-5G Randomly Freeze / Internet Unstable

Please confirm the following information if the same phenomenon persists.
  1. Can the network connection be restored by restarting the main Deco after the issue occurs?
  2. How often does the reported phenomenon occur?
  3. If you have a different SIM card, try to use it in the Deco and check if it works properly.

Best Regards

> Hello,

Yes, when the issue occurs, the Internet connection starts working again after rebooting the main Deco.

The problem happens randomly, usually every few days. The 5G connection appears to remain connected, but Internet access stops working until I reboot the Deco.

At the moment I do not have another SIM card available for testing.

I have also noticed that when I set the Deco to 4G Only, the problem does not occur and the connection remains stable. The issue seems to happen only when the Deco is using 5G NSA.

My device is a Deco X3000-5G V1 running firmware 1.3.0 Build 20250724 Rel. 41491.

I found the article "Deco X50-5G Randomly Freeze / Internet Unstable", which mentions firmware 1.3.1 for the X50-5G V1. Since the X3000-5G and X50-5G are essentially the same hardware, could you please confirm whether firmware 1.3.1 is also compatible with the X3000-5G V1 and provide the correct download link if available?

Thank you for your support.
