I have exactly the same problem. Now is 4 months after you posted, have you or any other member found solution to this issue or had any help offered by TP Link support?

also i wrote it from Turkey tplink support mail

they sent me beta firmware...

the firmware file name is : NC450_1.5.0_Build_180919_Rel.5CBD07_downgrade.bin

my devive HW is version 2

my device SW version is 1.5.2

and i tried is not upgraded always show upgrafe fail.

because system downgrade not allowed.

I have the same exact issue with the nc260, I have wasted two 32gb SD cards that now are unusable, not even PC recognize them after putting them in camera...

From android app, they stay in "Formatting" state to eternity.... from web browser, "Inser SD card".

NOTE: First time inserted, worked fine, after a day or so, turned into this state.

I will NOT insert more cards because camera destroys them, the firmware now is "1.5.1 Build 190805 Rel.1C7535" camera NC260 2.0

Is there a solution yet?? I read that some people downgraded the firmware, but links from this site " http://support.tp-link.com/f/d4a690790c/?dl=1 " are not working.

@csumi21 Having the same issue, only noticed it when someone stole my mac. Because the storage didn't work I now have about €3500 in damages. I've later learned that if the camera had worked then the police would have caught the guy. He was by foot and I missed him by only 1 minute. Never again I buy a TP-Link camera, currently replacing the one at the office and the 5 at home.

I have the same issue with my two NC450 cameras at home, I have to manually format the SD cards when they're 80% full. If I forget to do it, I need to remove them to format them in the PC.

TP-LINK support, do you have a firmware update for this camera?? We're customers worried for our family security.

I guess that it is just something that TP-Link will not fix. The NC450 will probably be discontinued soon. 

Estava com esse mesmo problema, resolvi desativando a gravação 24 horas, depois que consegui formatar o cartão SD ativei a gravação 24 horas novamente.

Desativar a gravação também ajuda a assistir as gravações, fica mais rápido e não trava.

@BOGUE Good idea. It seems like the formating of the SD card is possible when you disable 24 hour recording. I will see if it has worked tomorrow.
