Tapo C200 NVR(ONVIF)/RTSP viewing authentication issue
Has anyone tried to connect Tapo C200 to NVR system? or successfully view the camera through 3rd party software?
I've recieved my C200 today, and for some reason the username/password set under Advanced Setting->Camera account doesn't seem to work at all.
I've tried to connect to the camera through iSPY/VLC Player/Synology Surveillance station. But none of them works, they all showed username/password incorrect, even if I've changed several username/passwords combination and reset the camera few times.
I think the username/password function on C200 just doesn't work. At least I can't seem to get it working.
Has anyone successfully connect Tapo C200 to stream over 3rd party software?

You've followed this guide for Step1?
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/2680/
Then in VLC, open Network stream and enter rtsp://USER:PASS@CAMERA_IP:554/stream1
Replace with your details.
USER - You picked this a few moments ago
PASS - You picked this password a few moments ago
CAMERA_IP - Look on your router for the IP. If you aren't sure how to do that, use something like "Angry IP scanner" to find devices on your network and work out which IP it is.
Pay attention to the notes.
1. The username/password is the camera account that you created via the Tapo app. We will show you how to create a camera account later in this article (Step 1).
2. The IP address is the camera’s IP address assigned by your host router. You can find it on your host router’s DHCP list or in the Tapo app (Go to Camera Settings and navigate to the camera details page).

I've followed all the steps, and tried several third part programs and apps, bur for me it's always the same, WRONG CREDENTIALS, despite of creating the account on the tapo app.
Does this works for someone? Maybe my camera is wrong... but doesn't work with ONVIF or RST, nothing works.
Thank you!

@nan.castellar I recall I had the same issue initially & I had to tick a box on the tapo app when connected top the cam. At least I think. I can check my settings tonight on the app and zoneminder and update.

in Tapo app, go to camera, setting, advanced settings, camera account and create a username[1] and password[2].
in zoneminder on home screen
click "add"
no essentail settings on general tab need to be changed but add a group if you want & change to Modect if you prefer.
Source Tab
Source path will be rtsp://username[1]:password[2]@YOUR cameara IP:554/stream1
So example is rtsp://thisisausername:thisisapassword@192.168.1.99:554/stream1
capture resolution I set to 1920x1080
Save it and wait a short while as ZM doesn't "see" the new cam right away. Maybe 15 seconds to wait?
Also if you want to test the stream, copy the rtsp: address into vlc player under "media, open network stream"

Also does the stream work in VLC?

@MilKie Hi
I tried by following instructions on asustor web page you wrote. But became unsuccessful.
When trying with user defined and model as RTP over RTSP (TCP) , I am entering port as 80 (not RTSP port). But when I use FING android application to see the open ports of camera, only 443,554 and 2020 ports are available. I tried port as 443, 2020 but again fail.
Once a time, before, it gave an error that username or pwd is wrong. I checked too many times, it was correct but still saying same error.
