Feature request - Gradual wake up mode on smart bulbs
The Tapo L510E bulb is a great bit of kit.
I purchased this bulb, as I was looking at getting a light up alarm clock, for the dark winter mornings. I didn't buy one, as they were so expensive, and I only wanted the light function...I didn't need DAB, bluetooth etc etc.
I read around, and some people recommended using smart bulbs as an alternative, hence me purchasing the Tapo bulb.
It's been working really well, however, it can be a bit of a choir to set it up for my morning wake up. It also not a smooth wake up, as you have to set the light to come on in brightness incroments, which is can be quite jerky.
I think it would really be a benefit to the product if it had a wake up mode i.e. set it to light up gradually 30min before you want to wake up, with smooth brightness transitions to your final wake up brightness. This would then make the bulb and ideal alterntive to the crazyily expensive light up alarm clocks.

@J.Vilar It is availble, but you have to self set it, which is time consuming.
I've listed the steps below:
1. Open Tapo App
2. Select your bulb, mine is called "bedroom"
3. Select the schedule icon, looks like a calandar. Bottom left on android.
4. Select the + symbol. Top right on android
5. For "AT" select "custom time" then chose a time that is 20 - 30mins before you want to wake up...so say 6.30am
6. "turn device" set this to "on" amd chose a brightness (I start at 1%)
7. Select the repeat days. So if you want this to run every day monday to friday, you can. You can even set it to 7 days a week, and then just power off the bulb if you want a random day off.
8. repeat steps 4 throught to 7 to build up a series of actions that will change the lights on brightness every 2 to 5 min. My next action is at 6.32, and turns the brightness up to 5%. I end my actions at 50% brightness at 6.50am, ready for my sound alarm at 6.55.
One point to note, you can only have 18 actions per light. I condensed my wake up actions to 15, with quicker brightness actions at the begning, and the last two actions being 7min appart.

@rjwill10 This is an old request now, and such a simple one to implement!
I have integrated my smart light bulb with Home Assistant. A standard property for smart lights in the "set-brightness" call is "transition", a parameter to set the number of seconds the bulb takes to gently adjust from the current brightness to the target brightness. A property the L510 lacks. This should be a real easy feature to include, and is a standard for smart homes.

....and it's not even labeled as "under consideration"

@rjwill10 It will never happen. Noticed they have been kind enough to include ads in their app though...a feature no one requested.

@KalleKat I'm on Android, and get ads when I open the app, although they are occasional. I'm on Tapo V 2.17.112. I'm able to block ads within my network, so unsure how frequently they should appear.

Hmm I'm on 2.17.112 as well and I have never seen any ads in the app.
I don't use anything to block potential ads in the Tapo app.
