Hi,

Currently I have setup remote recording to a Raspberry Pi over ethernet. I am using rtsp protocol currently, I have tried wiresharking the traffic and it seems everything is just transmitted as plain unencrypted MPEG stream. I wanted to encrypt this. I have seen that there is a HTTPS server in camera. Whats s the use of that HTTPS server, I have no idea how to authenticate with it as there is no login prompt or anything

https://<ipOfCamera>:443/stream1 does give a json output of some kinda unauthenticated error.

If anyone can help me with the documentation to get video stream via HTTPS, will be totally great. Camera is already pretty secure in a seperate network with a firewall but still I wanted to an extra step to prevent snooping of ethernet if any node in network is comprimized.

Please help me... I am using raspberry pi with arch linux 64bit as main os. My DVR software is ZoneMinder.

Thank You :-)
